Megan is a transformational technology executive, TEDx speaker, and sought-after coach for women over forty looking to achieve SUSTAINABLE weight loss and master their menopause journey. She is the creator of LIGHTEN YOUR LIFE, a program designed to not only stop the self-sabotage that plagues weight loss efforts, but provides the foundation for successful AND sustainable weight loss (we're talking long-term, baby!). She believes that every client has the right to live a happier, healthier, and more joy-FILLED life.
After years of working through her own struggles with food, yo-yo dieting, overeating, and binge eating, Megan decided to take all that she learned from her own healing journey and turn it into something transformational. She became a certified coach with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and received a Menopause Coaching Specialist Certification from GGS. She additionally engaged in nutrition studies with the European Centre of Excellence. She is an organizational health and leadership coach with MindGym, offering psychology and research based training for companies all over the world.
In addition to her certifications, Megan holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Transformation. She has studied multiple healing modalities, including EFT Tapping, hypnosis, cognitive behavioral restructuring, primordial sound meditation, subconscious brain reprogramming, trauma-informed coaching, and Positive Intelligence (the PQ Program).
With statistics showing that 95% of women on traditional diet plans and 70% of women on weight loss medications are regaining the weight in months, she is on a mission to transform the approach to weight loss, making it sustainable as opposed to short-term. Her goal is to help women overcome the self-sabotage that has repeatedly plagued their weight loss efforts so that they can lose weight and gain the skills needed to keep the weight off. All while living their best, most joyous lives.
Her dream is for Lighten Your Life to become a movement that reduces the number of women dying each year from weight-related illnesses such as heart disease. Losing just 5% of body weight in someone carrying extra pounds can dramatically reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
